Get Most Out Of Practice Hub
To make the most of your practice hub, it is essential to prepare effectively:
Access to practice library.. As a member, you have access to all the past sessions, so you can work by yourself on exercises to improve your skills. If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask the online group for advice and feedback at any time.
Join the Zoom meeting.. Set up your computer and webcam, and make sure you have reliable high-speed internet access. You can connect to audio through the computer or use a separate phone line. A hands-free headset helps limit ambient sounds. Choose a comfortable chair and a writing surface suitable for practicing and learning, such as a desk or kitchen table. Or maybe aim to arrive a bit earlier to your office and join us there.
Prepare to engage. In the online environment, it’s not enough to show up! We need to hear your voice to feel your presence, and we especially need your comments to add to the information, shared learning, and the sense of community.
Share tips, helps, and questions. For many of us, online learning is a new frontier. There are no dumb questions, and even if you think your solution is obvious, please share it with the online group! Someone in the community will appreciate it.
Think before you push the Send button. Did you say just what you meant? How will the person on the other end read the words? While you can’t anticipate all reactions, do read over what you’ve written before you send it.
Be patient. As much as we will try to be prompt in answering questions, please do not expect instantaneous responses to your queries. Be patient with yourself as well; give the exercise a chance to soak in.
